KERN & BURN is Tulsa’s annual, fast-paced design competition and cultural phenomenon! We only accept eight teams so find your match and sign up fast!
- All guests and team participants must be 18+ with ID.
- Judges Vote winner receives $500 and the KERN & BURN trophy
- Popular Vote winner receives $200 and custom theme trophy
- You will compete in three live design rounds lasting 30 minutes each
- Each round will be revealed during the event, so don’t bother trying to prepare
- Teams must include 2-4 members and are in no way limited to designers
- Laptops, computers, hard drives, headphones and any tools you may need during the competition are your responsibility and we are not liable for your belongings
- You will be given 25 design assets that are password protected until each round begins but you are not required to use what is given to you.
- THIS COMPETITION IS AI TRANSPARENT. Meaning you may use AI tools such as ChatGPT, etc. but we require your submissions to include what tools you used. Judges will determine at their own will whether to deduct or add points.
- Wi-Fi may not be accessible during the event. Contestants must have all software and plug-ins preinstalled on their machines to participate

$150 with ADCT membership (1 teammate must be an ADCT member)
